Cars Sold in Police Auctions

September 14th, 2009

The name sounds very suspicious: police car auctions. {Some think they are selling cars that belonged to the police, cars that have POLICE written all over. People tend to think these auctions are selling only used police cars, because of the name. When people hear this term, they immediately imagine a big parking place with lots of police cars that are for sale.} Others think that in these auctions they sell cars that belonged to bandits, cars with bullet holes, cars that were murder scenes and god knows what other horrible things people suspect. These terrible, but still probable statements are usually not true, but they can be the cause of a car auctioning in about 3% of cases.

The police cars that are out of legal function, but are running perfectly still can get aucntioned. Just that they will not be presented to buyers in their original state. They will be re-painted and de-equiped before any sell is made. The auctioned police cars come from extra sticks, or because of stock re-newing. Because the cars costs are considered residual, they will sell for nay price. This is how the low prices are explained. Buyers that are usual customers of these auctions are aware of these aspects, and will bid accordingly, carefully and trying not to rise prices. To a new buyer, the best and first advice given about these auctions is not to bid more that 50% of real value. Keeping the prices in line will benefit the entire acution.

The police also auctions cars that belonged to convicted people that have no possibility of paying for affiliated car payments, or cars that have been impounded for various reasons. {Sometimes, even cars that were not entirely paid for are sold by the police. Cars that are new but not entirely paid for can be also sold. New cars that weren’t successfully paid can also be sold in these auctions.} {These cars are usually as good as new, and their prices will be a little bit higher that those of the firstly mentioned cars. These new cars will have prices that are a bit higher. Because they are practically as good as new, they will register bigger selling prices.} Regardless, they won’t reach the blue borad value of each car. With repossessed things that are not fully paid, these car auctions are good for any buyer. However, don’t expect to find a Razor Pro Model Scooter there!

So, the main idea is that by going to a police car auction you could be walking away with good low priced cars. These car you could sell to others for a considerable profit, then return with the money gained and buy other cars, therefore staring a business just by doing this.

Confiscated and Used Cars

If you heard that you next door neighbor just bought a nice car, used but still clean and working for as low as $150, then you should not act so surprised and unwary, because this thing is possible and even happening more than you think. These extremely cheap cars can be bought in special car auction. These special auction types run on repossessed cars. Amongst the most popular repossessed car auctions we can account those held by the government.

Just in case you are wondering Why the cars were repossessed, then you must know that the answers varies from institution to institution. Some of the repossessed cars come from people who have opened a credit at some bank or even purchased a car in leasing, and ended up not paying it, and now the bank is confiscating their belongings. Another type of confiscated cars are from police and IRS supplies, that confiscate cars that can not be justified or can not be registered. In the end, we can even have the opportunity of seeing military dump trucks for sale or police cars that have been replaced.

It really doesn’t concern you where these cars come from, you will have nothing to do with previous owners and their problems because this care are not property of financial institutions that sell them usually with no reserve pricing. This means a new car, or a car that has just one year of use, will be entering auction at prices as low as $50. If you wonder why these institutions agree to give away almost new cars for low costs, the answer is complicated, but it has something to do with the increasing stock of these cars they accumulate in time and the fact that they can become quite expensive when stored.

These auctions are usually announced in media one or two weeks before starting, and are always attended by business persons that own or intend to open a used cars dealership. Car dealers benefit a lot from these used cars, as they can buy a good car at prices that are way below those they can sell the car to clients. The attendance of usual car buyers is low because the event is advertised for a short period of time and so many dealers usually go and bid on cars that they discourage any other bids.

An emergency vehicle simply means a vehicle meant to respond to any emergencies. The emergencies can be varied which includes crime, fire, medical or civil emergencies. These vehicles are authorized and designated to respond to emergencies. Such emergency vehicles are to be operated by designated agencies. These agencies, in many instances, are government agencies. There are some emergency services which are also operated by non-governmental agencies, charities and also commercial companies. They too operate emergency vehicles. These private agencies are authorized to carry out these services.

Emergency vehicles are used by police and security agencies, fire and rescue departments, medical services agencies, civil emergency providers and recovery agencies. The emergency vehicles are visually made easily distinguishable. Each of these emergency service vehicles too have their own distinguishing marks. They have certain pre-designated color patterns and insignia. They could, in addition, be sporting reflective strips and lettering, contact information and identification marks that are prominently visible. They are also fitted usually with audible warning devices. This helps the general public to easily identify them as emergency vehicles. The public will also be able to easily identify what kind of emergencies these vehicles deal with.

Traffic movement is regulated by rules and regulations. But in the case of emergency vehicles on their way to attending emergencies, time is the most crucial factor. Their easy and fast movement on the roads is to be ensured to reach their destination as early as possible. They put on their audible warning devices to announce their approach so that the traffic stops. Vehicles move over to the side to give way. This is facilitated also by local laws which permit the right of way on top priority to emergency vehicles. You might have come across ads announcing cheap emergency vehicle for sale.

Unlike ordinary vehicles, the emergency vehicles are designed differently keeping in mind the specific purpose these vehicles are to carry out. They also have specific features suited to the specific services. It is understandable that these will be costlier than its counterpart. Used emergency vehicle become an option to cut down on cost of purchase.

Benefits that Come from Used Cars

When it comes to car auctions, they can be a good investment or a total waste of money, as anything else really, depending on buyer personality and habits. The amount of people that don’t want to try to go to a car auction because they have a strong believe they are not profitable is rising. So many deals make good investments in these auction cars, that you should start wondering if you can’t just copy what they do and make a profit yourself.

Some people know a friend who brought a really bad car at an auction, that type of car that it’s better thrown away than driven, and this makes them believe that a car auction could never stand up to their standards. In fact, car auction are so much more. In a car action, automobile differ from a useful dump truck to a pricy luxury car.You can even buy great cars at low prices, if you are confident enough to stick to your bids and scare off other interested buyers that are not as secure as you. Dress professionally, stand as if you are an expert, and bid forward but never go over planned budget, only this way you will get good cars for low auction prices.

Let’s talk a bit about advantages we can gain from car auctions. In the first place, in a car auction you will be offered a wide variety of car types, from various fabrication years and produced by various manufactures. Depending on car type, year and condition, the prices will vary a lot. Most cars brought in auctions are viable and still run. In the rare cases in witch a car is not working or has some sort of obvious defect, this defect will be described and communicated carefully and completely. Next, there are the online car auctions, witch are websites full of cars placed for sale. The main advantage of online car auctions is the duration, because they will last for weeks even, time in witch you can evaluate and investigate everything and anything about a car’s previous history and details, all before actually placing a bid.

There are not many disadvantages when it comes to online car auctions. There are some specialized auction sites that ask for a monthly subscription in return of witch you will gain access to cheap selected cars with only members can see. Live car auctions present just one flaw : everything occurs fast. Most people do not place bid in live auction precisely because of this short time frame they have to deal with.

Every year a lot of real life auctions are held. Apart from cars, other vehicles can also be found in these auctions. These auctions sell later model cars at a very low price. Government auctions are held every year but try looking for auctions any where near your area. Save most of your money by buying old model or second hand cars. But before you decide to buy used cars, look for cars that are old but in a good condition. There are many websites that can help you to choose cars and get information on them. Another source of valuable information are car auction sites which lists dates and places where auctions are held. Check you local newspapers and refer to advertisements for car auctions.

In these car auctions, cars ranging from high to low price are available. Real life car auctions are good to get used lhs, boats, speedboats, motorcycles, electronic gadgets and other useful household items. Join these auctions to get household items and other necessary requirements at a reasonable price. Choose a car wisely and make sure it is the car that you want to buy. Also check for warranties, extra repair and other possible damages. These real life car auctions usually don’t come with a warranty but make sure to look for them before you actually buy. Compare prices to check what your car is worth of. Mostly these cars do not come with a RWC but make sure you keep a track of how much you are spending.

While bidding on a car keep a fair price and make sure you end up owning it. Otherwise you may get disappointed by losing a bid. Keep you payment ready because cars are delivered within two or three days after payment. If you are not familiar with car parts and cannot determine the car’s efficiency, do not easily land on a choice. Instead take some one who is familiar with these and can help you. Before you can drive your car, more or less repair may be required. Keep these in mind and finalize the price.
