Give Your Truck a New Look and Feel with a Truck Grille Guard and Shock Absorbers

Maintaining your car is more than just performing regular system checks and oil changes.  There are several auto accessories items that can add years to the life of your car, and add to the look of your vehicle as you drive it all over town.  Truck owners are beginning to utilize grille guard to protect and enhance the front end of their vehicle.  Since these accessories provide an extra layer of protection, you can avoid expensive auto body repair.  Grille guards are available for both trucks and SUVs, and are a car enhancement that really serves a purpose.  A truck grill guard can accomplish more than fender flares or a spoiler because it actually protects a vehicle by building a layer of protection from cars, rocks and wet paint that can cause damage.

A front grille guard can really help protect your truck if you like to take it off-roading.  When in these circumstances, you will get the most benefits from using a grill guard and a skid plate.  As the grill guard works to protect the bumper and grill of the truck, the skid plate provides a strong shield between a truck’s suspension and rocks or anything else that may damage the suspension.  The other advantage of adding a durable bumper grill guard to an off-road vehicle is that it gives you a place to mount off-road lights.  There’s now no limit to when you can get out into the hills!

A new set of  shock absorbers are important to every vehicle, but above all off-road vehicles.  Essentially, Gabriel shock absorbers work to absorb and dissipate the energy and shock that occurs between the road and the vehicle.  Anybody who has ever been off-roading, or even has driven into a large pot-hole realizes the benefit of  having good shock absorbers.  Shock absorbers work through compressing and rebounding.  When you run over a bump or a large hole, the shock absorber shoves a piston into the cavity  (compression).  After you have exited the hazard, the shock decompresses (rebound).  Your wheels are then free to move without you feeling every bump and dip in the road.  Such a small auto part completely changes the performance of your vehicle.

If you love camping, boating and jet skiing you know that a tow receiver hitch is a must-have for your truck.  Towing hitches, also called trailer hitches, are made in a number of shapes and sizes in order to fit various applications. In general terms, a towing hitch can have two uses: weight-carrying or weight-distributing. Depending on the vehicle you will use to tow and the size of the trailer, you will select a trailer hitch that meets your requirements.  A Weight-carrying (WC) hitch can be used with trailers weighing up to 3,500 pounds, and where the weight and suspension of the tow vehicle can accommodate that load.  Weight-distributing (WD) trailer hitch can be slid into receivers that are graded Class ¾ or Class 5.  The Weight-distributing towing hitch redistributes hitch tongue weight (TW) and is normally used for trailers that have a weight up to 10,000 pounds.

These key auto accessories can make your truck more comfortable and useful in a relatively economical way.
