To Scrap Or Not To Scrap?

August 30th, 2009

Unless you have buried your head under a rock for the past few months you will be aware of the Government’s latest initiative to kick start the car market, whilst also raising awareness of ‘Green Issues’. This incentive scheme has been referred to as the Scrappage Scheme and has already proved to be successful in terms of increasing the number of new cars sold in this country. The general public have literally flocked in order to get rid of their old bangers and take advantage of the up to £2000 cash incentive towards a new car.

However, there is one small problem; even with the £2000 contribution from Government and the Dealership, a lot of families still can’t afford to splash the cash on a new car. The Government are really pushing their Green agenda, primarily concerned with getting old and environmentally unsound cars off the road. The remaining concern is that new cars are still vastly more expensive than used cars so the used will continue to sell well.

But shouldn’t we feel awesomely guilty about driving used cars that may not be as good for the environment as brand new ones probably are?

The answer is simply No. Most cars made in the past 10-15 years are just as ‘Green’ as their 2009 counterparts. I have been driving a Used Audi for a few months and the Miles per Gallon ratio is identical to the new model, 4 years its junior.

So the choice of whether to take the Government up on their offer is completely up to you. If you want a new car then it makes sense to trade in your old 10+ year model, but if you are interested only buying a Used Car, then by all means do that. It is no less Green to recycle an existing car. In fact, the manufacturing process to put together the new car probably offsets the carbon emissions you would have prevented. So essentially, the whole scheme seems like a bit of a paradox; or a waste of time, tax-payers money and guilt.

Find A Cheap Used Audi

August 4th, 2009

Over the past few years I have seen very favourable reviews of Audi cars on programmes like Top Gear. I decided that I wanted to invest in one, but due to the depreciation of new cars at the moment, I chose to buy a Used Audi from my local Sytner Dealership. I was presented with a very large choice of cars and took my time to pick the right one. After a few test drives and much deliberation I decided to drive away with a Used Audi TT. The Audi TT is a perfect car for those who like the sportiness of roadsters, but enjoy the practicalities of saloon cars. The Used Audi TT supplies you with all the motoring pleasure you could wish for.

The very first time I drove my Used Audi TT I knew driving was never going to get any better than this. The smoothness of the drive was matched by the urgency of the powerful engine. I felt safe; cocooned within the tough body that has passed all of Audi’s rigorous safety tests. I also felt as though I was driving a luxury car or something. The interior of the Used Audi TT has been designed to a very high specification and makes the driver or passenger feel as though they are inside a considerably more expensive car. I thoroughly enjoy every driving experience I have in my Used Audi TT regardless of how I am feeling.

I still cannot believe I found this car for such a reasonable price. With only 4,000 on the clock, my Used Audi TT will guarantee me years of driving amazement and gives me the feel of driving a luxury car even though I paid a far from luxurious price for it. I would recommend Sytner Used Audi for anyone looking for a cheap Used Audi TT or any other Used Audi model.

Wish Upon A Used Audi

June 28th, 2009

These days everybody is looking for a get quick rich scheme or a once in a lifetime bargain. Those amongst us who were perhaps a little care-free with our cash in the past have been forced to reign in our spending dramatically. This more ‘thrifty’ attitude towards financial matters has lead to a huge increase in the numbers of used cars being bought from dealerships, which in turn has seen a downturn in the new car market. Having driven used cars myself, I feel compelled to offer some expert advice on the manufacturers to look for when searching out your perfect used car.

From my own personal point of view, I would thoroughly recommend investing in a quality Used Audi, which are available nationally from Sytner Used Audi dealerships. My rationale is based upon one of getting value for money; a lesson repeatedly taught to me during my up-bringing. If you spend cheap, then it is only reasonable to expect cheap in return. This is why I made the choice to buy a Used Audi; their high quality manufacturing process and experience has concluded in some excellent cars being released over the years.

My personal favourite (I own one after all) has to be the Used Audi RS6, an awesome car by any stretch of the imagination. From the handling, through to the tip-tronic gearbox, every inch of the Audi RS6 has been designed to maximise driving pleasure.

I bought my Used Audi RS6 from my local Sytner Used Audi dealership for a very reasonable amount of money. In doing so I bagged myself a marvellous car with only 5000 miles on the clock for a fraction of the price of a new model. The depreciation on new models is very sharp, so sharp in fact that you can take advantage of buying a nearly new Used Audi for a distinctly cheap price.

I thoroughly recommend visiting your local Sytner Used Audi dealership today.

Give Me Used Audi TT

June 13th, 2009

The Audi TT has been hailed as the ultimate cross between a road car and a sports car. The Audi TT combines all the practicality of a beautiful road car with all the performance of a sports car. It is really one of the best vehicles to be released on to our streets in recent times and has been treated as such. Critics and the public alike have fallen in love with the Audi TT’s suave styling and fearsome 2.0 Litre engine under the bonnet. It is possible to find these magnificent cars for bargain prices by looking for an ex demonstrator Used Audi.

Used Audi cars are the perfect compromise for those amongst us who want a luxury car but can’t afford the astronomical price tags. As we endure these financially difficult times, an increasing amount of people are looking for a bargain and the Used Car market is where you are likely to find them. The best tactic when buying a used car is to choose a manufacturer who guarantee reliability, performance and style; step forward Audi and take a bow. I bought a Used Audi from Sytner and have been extremely pleased with the car so far. I would recommend Used Audis to anyone looking for a great car at a vastly discounted price.

My Used Audi TT cost a fraction of the recommended retail price and had only 8000 miles on the clock. Due to the state of the current car market, new cars are subject to a massive drop in value as soon as you drive them home. This is why you should take advantage of the dealers by buying a Used Audi today. I have been a satisfied customer for over 6 months now and doubt I will invest in any other car brands again. My Used Audi TT has got the power and precision of a car double its value and I think it was the bargain of the century.

The Audi Q7, the company presents on the Shanghai Car Show has a different look. But not only the exterior has changed, technically the car has undergone some changes too. “The fuel consumption is reduced on all the models. The press release talks about the fact that the new Audi is als available with the cleanest diesel technology in the world, the TDI clean diesel.

What’s changed? The grille is the most significant one. They come with vertical bars with high chrome finish that gives it an extra luxury look. The bumpers were changed and the bottom section may be painted in black or gray. When the lights go on the street lights up in Cool Blue illuminated. Yeah, the Audi Q7 is equipped with Xenon lighting or an adaptive system with Xenon lights. This means the headlight to the car rotate with the steering angle. Around the new Audi is equiped with LED lighting.

Extra efficiency
All gasoline and diesel engines for the new Audi Q7 have direct fuel injection. The same goes for the Audi Q7 3.Clean diesel. The 3.0-liter V6 TDI has a DeNOx catalyst with AdBlue injection. It’s AdBlue additive ensures that nitrogen oxide (NOx) is converted into harmless gasses. The complex exhaust system sees to that the Audi 3.TDI Clean Diesel meets the strictest emission standards in the world, which is expected in September 2014 takes effect. The Audi Q7 3.Clean Diesel fuel allows an average of 8.9 l/100 km consumption of fuel.

The other engines for the Audi Q7 are also more efficient. Mainly because of the recovery system that convert mechanical brake and roll energy into electrical energy and stored in the battery. This system provides a lower fuel consumption and therefore lower CO2 emissions (reduction up to 5 g / km).

The 3.0 TDI with 176 kW/240 hp is satisfied with 9.1 l/100 km. Audi Q7 4.2 TDI (250 kW/340 hp) rides on an average of 9.9 l/100 km (was 11.1 l/100 km). The Audi Q7 V 12 TDI (with a power of 368 kW/500 hp) consumes despite its high-performance 11.3 l/100km. The average consumption of the 3.6 FSI petrol version (206 kW/280 hp) is 12.1 l/100 km and the 4.2 FSI V8

is 12.7 l/100 km.

The standard of luxury and top comfort on this Audi. Through the six speed tipronic transmission you control the quattro permanent four-wheel drive, you have got air conditioning and a good hi-fi and if you are not yet fully satisfied, you can opt into a B & O sound system, complete with infotainment system for your navigation, telephone and music. Your Audi Q7 4.2 TDI and 6.0 TDI has adaptive air suspension with three modes (comfort, automatic, dynamic) standard. You can opt in to extras like ceramic disc brakes, adaptive cruise control, Audi lane assist, the Audi parking system and comfort seats.
